For more than twenty years, Mortuary Studios in Gentry, Arkansas has been producing its unique brand of artwork. 
 
In 1990, several local artists began to occupy the portion of Gentry's historic Carpenter Building that was once the city's morgue and funeral chapel. They soon developed it into a creative space devoted to independent music, film, and many other artistic forms.
 
Mortuary Studios artists have also created a very creepy haunted attraction inside the Carpenter Building. In addition to Halloween night, "Carpenter's Mortuary Spook House" opens its doors every Friday and Saturday night during the month of October.
